Wall/Glass Mount Installation Instructions

Wall/Glass Mount Installation Instructions

Read entire instructions before commencing installation

  1. Check Aquapole wallmount is 125mm longer than the valve to ceiling measurement Valve standard height is 1m from the floor, so for a 2.4m stud the wall shower would be 1525mm or longer. This is to leave enough tube for the ceiling bracket.
  2. Check water supply is within temperature and pressure limits. (max 65deg) and pressure limits (max 6.5bar min .8 bar)
  3. Pole can be cut with a hacksaw if necessary (a plastic or metal sleeve can be slid over the water pipes to protect them while cutting the pole). After cutting, the tube must be filed to remove sharp edges which can damage the water pipes.
  4. Decide on position of Aquapole wall mount and mark hole on wall 1m above floor where fixing is available. This hole will be 4mm to take the supplied screw into wood. Ask you tiler for advice if drilling through tiles.
  5. Extend the wall mark vertically to the ceiling and measure out 85mm from the wall/ceiling junction to mark the 55mm ceiling hole. Check that the hole will be clear of obstructions above the ceiling eg roof truss. If necessary shift the Aquapole to be clear. Now drill 55mm ceiling hole.
  6. Drill the wall hole 55mm deep. If into wood tighten the screw to hold the flange flush with wall. It is recommended to put a smear of silicon around the hole before fitting the flange to waterproof the wall penetration.
  7. There are two holes in the wall flange which need to point towards the floor. These are for grub screws, provided, to attach the pole to the flange.
  8. Check that the ceiling flange is positioned on the Aquapole 200mm from the top with flat surface to the top. Lubricate the O ring. (Should the flange be too tight a fit, remove the O ring then use silicone to hold flange in place).
  9. Pole can now be fed through the ceiling and pushed onto the wall flange.
  10. Taking care not to let the pole fall onto the shower floor, check that the small holes on the flange line up with the holes in the shower mount and then tighten in the two grub screws with a 2mm allen key.
  11. Access the ceiling cavity and fix the ceiling clamp to the Aquapole. You may need to position and fix wood to screw the bracket to.  Attach extra wood in the ceiling carefully, preferably with screws to avoid damaging the ceiling. If possible it is desirable to have the shower location sorted at the framing stage then the ceiling fixing can be installed.
  12. The shower pipes can now be connected to the water supply.  Take care to connect correctly to hot and cold supplies.  Debris must be flushed out and water supply filtered as for any ceramic tapware. Always check with your plumber before connecting to potable water.
  13. Before turning water on, check shower valve is turned off or monitored.
  14. Push ceiling flange up Aquapole to finished position.
  15. Fit the hose with the hexagonal end to the valve and tapered end to the rose. Check that a flat hose washer is on each end before doing up firmly by hand.
