Installation instructions for the Aquapole™ - Pole shower

Read entire instructions before commencing installation.
- Check Aquapole is approximately 125mm longer than the floor to ceiling measurement. Too long and it will not fit through the 55mm hole on an angle and too short it will not leave sufficient room to fasten in the ceiling.
- Check water supply is within temperature (max 65deg) and pressure limits (max 6.5bar min .8 bar)
- Pole can be cut with a hacksaw if necessary, (a plastic or metal sleeve can be slid over the water pipes to protect them while cutting the pole). After cutting, the tube must be filed to remove sharp edges which can damage the water pipes.
- Decide on preferred position of Aquapole and mark on floor with pencil checking that the hole will be clear of any pipes or wires in the floor.
- Extend floor mark vertically to a point on the ceiling using a plumb line or by measurement.
- Check that hole will be clear of obstructions above the ceiling eg roof truss. If necessary shift the Aquapole to be clear.
- When satisfied with position of the Aquapole drill a 16mm hole in the floor to a depth of 55mm. After cleaning out the hole insert the 16mm anchor which takes the 12mm bolt.
- Screw the bolt firmly into the anchor with the bottom-mounting flange on the thread finishing 5mm above the floor (an alternative method is to have 12mm metric threaded stainless steel rod set in the concrete when pouring the floor).
- When the bolt is screwed in tight and floor flange is at the 5mm height, wind down the supplied nut tight against the flange to lock it to height.
- The 55mm hole can now be drilled through the ceiling.
- Check that the ceiling flange is positioned on the Aquapole 200mm from the top with flat surface to the top. Lubricate the O ring. (Should the flange be to tight a fit, remove the O ring then use silicone to hold flange in place).
- The pole can now be fed through the ceiling hole on an angle and then the bottom can be placed over the floor flange.
- Access the ceiling cavity and fix the ceiling clamp to the Aquapole. You may need to position and fix wood to screw the bracket to. Attach extra wood in the ceiling carefully, preferably with screws to avoid damaging the ceiling. If possible it is desirable to have the shower location sorted at the framing stage then the ceiling fixing can be installed.
- Align the shower valve below in the desired position before screwing the ceiling bracket to the wood and tightening the clamp.
- The shower pipes can now be connected to the water supply. Take care to connect correctly to hot and cold supplies. Debris must be flushed out and water supply filtered as for any ceramic tapware. Always check with your plumber before connecting to potable water.
- Before turning water on, check shower valve is turned off or monitored.
- Push ceiling flange up Aquapole to finished position.
- Fit the hose with the hexagonal end to the valve and tapered end to the rose. Check that a flat hose washer is on each end before doing up firmly by hand.
